Description
The Project aimed at supporting the Government's development objectives to increase the production of agriculture, natural resources, and small-scale industries through rehabilitating 162 kilometers of National Foad No. 13 between Vientiane and Vang Vieng (including the replacement of 39 bridges) and strengthening domestic capabilities in road design, construction, and maintenance. The scope of the Project also included (i) procurement of equipment, materials, and spare parts; (ii) establishment of a base field workshop; and (iii) provision of consulting services for detailed engineering, construction management, and assistance in training.
