Description
This Initial Environmental Examination describes the environmental condition for Technical Assistance 6441 - Regional: Efficiency Improvement and Connectivity Strengthening in Archipelagic Southeast Asia Project (Energy Component), including potential impact, formulation of mitigation measures, and preparation of institutional requirements and environmental monitoring for the project.
The proposed Project will connect the power supply systems of Sarawak and West Kalimantan, improving the reliability of the electrical supply in West Kalimantan and reducing the reliance on existing and proposed power generation based on fossil fuel sources.
