Brunei Darussalam has an active role in the BIMP-EAGA subregional cooperation program and has made a significant contribution to trade facilitation in the subregion.

The ADB Board of Directors approved the classification of Brunei Darussalam as a graduated developing member country in 2013. The MOU between Brunei Darussalam and ADB is expected to identify priority areas for knowledge and capacity development.
