The overall objective of this paper is to review the Bank's policies and practices regarding the socioeconomic analysis of education projects. Forty-three appraisal reports of Bank-financed education projects constituted the data set for this review which was done against benchmark information contained in the Bank's sector paper on Education Development and post-evaluation findings.
