Asian Development Bank and Georgia: Fact Sheet

Updated yearly, this ADB Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on Georgia as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information.

Although Georgia is among ADB’s most recent members, ADB’s country portfolio has grown rapidly, with cumulative approvals for 21 sovereign and nonsovereign loans totaling $1.4 billion as of 31 December 2013. ADB is one of Georgia’s largest multilateral financiers, supporting public infrastructure and services development through funding from both the concessional Asian Development Fund (ADF) and ordinary capital resources (OCR).

As of yearend 2013, the sovereign assistance of ADB to Georgia amounted to $1.2 billion in approved loans, $527 million in ADF loans, and $705.8 million in OCR loans, while nonsovereign assistance amounted to $125 million. Cumulative disbursements amounted to $547 million as of year-end 2013.
