Description
The Ninth Meeting of the Subregional Telecommunications Forum (STCF-9) held in Bangkok, Thailand, was co-organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Thailand and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The STCF-9 meeting’s objectives were: (i) to agree on the GMS strategy and program for capacity building in telecommunications and information communication technology (ICT) development, for endorsing to the 15th GMS Ministerial Conference in Petchburi, Thailand in June 2009; and (ii) to discuss the progress of cooperation in telecommunications and Information Superhighway Network (ISN) development, for updating the sector’s strategies and priority projects in the Vientiane Plan of Action, 2008- 2015.
