Papua New Guinea has partnered ADB since 1971. ADB-supported projects use government procurement systems and processes, and project implementation is progressively becoming an inline function. ADB promotes investment and policy coordination across the transport, power, rural health, and public financial management sectors, including cofinancing. ADB also partners with non-state actors to deliver development results, including successful private sector partnerships in the delivery of rural health services.
