Asian Development Bank and People's Republic of China: Fact Sheet

| Date: | April 2013 |
| Type: | Brochures and Flyers |
| Series: | Country Fact Sheets |
Description
Updated yearly, this ADB Country Fact Sheet provides social and economic indicators on the People’s Republic of China as well as concise information on ADB's operations in the country and contact information.
ADB has partnered with the Government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) since it joined ADB in 1986. The country partnership strategy (CPS), 2011-2015 was endorsed by the ADB Board of Directors in May 2012. The CPS is aligned with the priorities of the country’s 12th Five-Year Plan, which aligns closely with those of ADB’s Strategy 2020, in particular the redoubling of efforts to promote socially inclusive development and environmental protection. The CPS also reflects the PRC’s changing circumstances as a rapidly growing middle-income country with increasing emphasis on innovation and value addition, and South-South cooperation that underpins the evolving ADB-PRC partnership.
