Description

This publication documents the studies presented as well as the deliberations that occurred during the ADB regional workshop on strengthening the criminal justice system held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in May 2006. The workshop primarily examined the reform efforts that have taken place within the judiciary, the public prosecution service and the police force in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. It also examined the current state of access to laws in Bangladesh and the efforts to strengthen legal education and training in the country.
