Danish Cooperation Fund on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Rural Areas
The Danish Fund aims to support:
- institutional development/capacity building on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and Greenhouse Gas Abatement technologies in rural areas
- development of support services such as norms and standards, certified skills, information, and maintenance
- pilot projects designed to disseminate renewable energy
- awareness, capacity development, and pilot activities to minimize adverse effects of cook stoves
- regional dissemination of "best practice" and new approaches developed under the program
- capacity building for country/regional assessments and strategies for greenhouse gas abatement
ADB carries out the identification, preparation, appraisal and supervision of the projects according to its policies and procedures. For the projects, ADB will select and engage consultants following ADB's Guidelines
on the Use of Consultants and Guidelines
for Procurement.
