PREGA will carry out pre-feasibility/feasibility studies of investment projects for financing consideration through commercial, multilateral, and bilateral sources, including specialized treaty-linked mechanisms such as the Global Environment Facility and the Clean Development Mechanism. PREGA also generated reports on policy and institutional barriers to the dissemination of renewable energy, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas abatement technologies, and financing models for such investment projects.

Workshops, both on regional and national levels, were held from 2001 to 2005.
