Country Profiles

The Asian Development Bank's regional cooperation activities gained ground in the early 1990s. The work has covered technical assistance studies and workshops to support cooperation dialogue, investments in cross-border projects, and assistance for cross-border agreements. Most of the efforts have been in Southeas Asia and Central Asia. Now, ADB's assistance is being extended to South Asia, where support for subregional cooperation is growing.
