Improving public health in Asia and the Pacific
Patricia Moser is the Chair of the Health Community of Practice. She provides strategic guidance on ADB's health activities, which includes support to regional departments for health loans and technical assistance, and management of regional activities and knowledge products related to health in Asia and the Pacific.
Leah Gutierrez is the Co-Chair of ADB's Community of Practice on Health and the Director of the Human and Social Development Division in the Southeast Asia Department.
Claude Bodart serves as the East Asia Department focal point for health and social protection. His work in the health sector covers health financing and health systems development. He is actively involved in social welfare and insurance reforms in Mongolia. More recent interests include portfolio development in inclusive growth in Mongolia and elderly care services in the People's Republic of China.
Susann Roth supports ADB's regional malaria and other communicable diseases initiative. She is particularly interested in innovative IT applications in surveillance. In her role as social protection specialist, she puts emphasis on social assistance and insurance as part of achieving Universal Health Coverage, and she supports a project with WHO on M&E of UHC in Asia Pacific. She also serves as departmental focal point for ADB's partnership with UNDP/UNESCAP on the MDGs and she assists in ADB’s overall support to the MDGs.
