Projects
Sector-specific health programs and projects were supported in eight countries in 2010. ADB produced studies and held policy dialogue on the implications for human health of climate change as it affects the agriculture and water sectors and disaster-risk reduction, and on the health impacts of traffic-related air pollution. The regional AIDS data hub disseminated best practices, and ADB supported efforts at controlling communicable diseases, including HIV/AIDS and dengue fever, in the Greater Mekong Subregion. New information was provided to back investment in maternal, newborn, and child health; and the Asia Pacific Health Observatory was initiated.
