The Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been publishing an Annual Evaluation Review summarizing key findings and lessons of evaluation studies carried out in the previous year, and providing trends in the success rates of ADB operations, for many years. This report covers activities done in 2011.

This 2010 Annual Evaluation Review reports on the accomplishments of the Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank in 2009, highlighting key lessons identified from the department's evaluations.

This report, the ARAR for 2009, takes stock of the recommendations from 2008–2009 as recorded and tracked in the Independent Evaluation Department's Management Action Record System, the corresponding Management response, the status of action plans and the progress of their implementation, and IED validation of the implementation status of the action plans.

This is the eighth annual report on the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) portfolio performance prepared to (i) review the progress in 2008; (ii) determine medium- to long-term trends; and (iii) evaluate issues related to the performance of ADB’s portfolio covering sovereign loans, grants, technical assistance (TA), and nonsovereign operations.
