This evaluation study assesses the alignment of ADB’s corporate strategies to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and considers whether setting global targets made a difference to the development results in the region’s developing countries. The study looks at emerging issues for the new development agenda post-2015 to feed into ADB’s contribution to that agenda. It covers ADB’s portfolio from 2002 to 2011.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This thematic evaluation aims to shed light on the challenges and opportunities in promoting inclusive growth by examining ADB’s support to developing member countries in this area. It explores the relevance and responsiveness of ADB’s efforts to encourage inclusive growth and draws lessons for policymaking. The study also needs to look at the issues underpinning inclusive growth, and methods of monitoring and measuring its progress.
