ONGOING EVALUATION. This approach paper presents the rationale, objectives, scope, and timeline for a study that will evaluate the impact of several interventions that ADB has supported in Bangladesh’s secondary education subsector.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This country assistance program evaluation will be the first assessment of the country strategies and programs of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tajikistan. The evaluation aims to draw forward-looking lessons and make recommendations for the next country partnership strategy of Tajikistan, and to provide an objective assessment and rating of the performance of ADB support to country and identify factors affecting such performance.

 

ONGOING EVALUATION. This report aims to validate findings and assessments of the final review, including relevance of the strategic focus of the country portfolio in Bhutan; and (ii) identify lessons and recommendations to improve design and implementation of ADB-supported activities in the upcoming CPS period covering 2014-2018. 

The 2013 Annual Evaluation Review assesses the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) operational performance in 2012, and synthesize lessons on development effectiveness for ADB and member countries. The review also provides an update on actions taken in relation to evaluation findings.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This study will review ADB’s portfolio to assess the progress towards the mainstreaming of support for climate change mitigation and adaptation. In line with Strategy 2020, the study will also provide lessons and recommendations based on the regional context to enable ADB to increasingly support its developing member countries—as knowledge provider and financing facilitator—in enhancing climate resilience, reducing vulnerability and exposure to climate change, and moving to a low-carbon growth path in the coming years.

ONGOING EVALUATION. An operational review in phase 1 of this evaluation will examine the effectiveness of ADB’s approach to support the strengthening and effective application of country safeguard systems by its developing member countries, and the degree and effectiveness of the implementation of safeguard requirements for financial intermediary projects.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This thematic evaluation study will assess the strategic relevance of technical assistance within ADB and look at how technical assistance can better contribute to development effectiveness. The study aims to generate findings and recommendations to guide ADB in its future use of technical assistance.
