This Learning Curves provides an overview of the evaluation on ADB’s support to Afghanistan. It aims to provide an independent assessment of ADB support from 2002 to 2011, to identify areas for improving the effectiveness of ADB’s interventions, and to provide evaluation lessons and recommendations.

This Learning Curves summarizes the key findings and recommendations of the real-time evaluation of ADB’s multi-tranche financing facility. It examines the cost and benefits associated with the modality, by considering efficiency gains or cost reductions as well as gains in development effectiveness. It reviews whether the lessons or initial outcomes before the modality was mainstreamed led to any changes in policy for the facility or operating requirements to improve its effectiveness. It also provides insights into the future design of multi-tranche financing facility interventions.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This approach paper presents the rationale, objectives, scope, and timeline for a study that will evaluate the impact of several interventions that ADB has supported in Bangladesh’s secondary education subsector.

ONGOING EVALUATION. This country assistance program evaluation will be the first assessment of the country strategies and programs of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tajikistan. The evaluation aims to draw forward-looking lessons and make recommendations for the next country partnership strategy of Tajikistan, and to provide an objective assessment and rating of the performance of ADB support to country and identify factors affecting such performance.

 

ONGOING EVALUATION. This report aims to validate findings and assessments of the final review, including relevance of the strategic focus of the country portfolio in Bhutan; and (ii) identify lessons and recommendations to improve design and implementation of ADB-supported activities in the upcoming CPS period covering 2014-2018.
