This country assistance program evaluation aims to provide an assessment and rating of the performance of ADB’s support to Pakistan and identify factors affecting such performance, and draw forward-looking lessons and make recommendations for the next country partnership strategy of Pakistan.

Validates the completion report’s assessment of the project, whose outcomes were to increase agriculture production, job opportunities, and farm income in the project area by extending the main canal and irrigation system, and providing facilities for surface drainage and on-farm water management. IED overall assessment: Less than successful.

This Learning Curves provides an overview of the evaluation on ADB’s microfinance development strategy. The study had two objectives: assess the performance of the ADB’s microfinance assistance, and build knowledge on the effectiveness of microfinance in reducing poverty based on ADB’s experiences.
