ADB President, Thailand Prime Minister Meet in Phuket

ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda met with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on the sidelines of the Special ASEAN +3 Finance Ministers Meeting in Phuket, 22 February. They discussed the impact of the global financial crisis on the Asian economy and cooperation between ADB and Thailand. See photo release.

Thailand was one of the founding members of the ADB in 1966 and is the 17th largest shareholder. Cumulative lending since joining amounted to almost $5.4 billion for 84 loans as of 31 December 2007.
