Case Studies

This section presents different urban project cases on gender, governance, and water.

Gender
ADB supports many gender-inclusive projects across various sectors. The urban case studies demonstrate how gender-inclusive design across all sectors is possible, desirable, and a good development practice.
Governance
ADB supports integration of governance principles into the capacity building design and implementation of projects. The urban case studies present the lessons from past interventions by government in providing their citizens with improved pro-poor service delivery in urban areas, in an efficient and effective manner.
Water
ADB's vision for integrated water management in the region is outlined in its water policy. The urban case studies showcase actions undertaken in different countries towards providing water for all. Some of the case studies focus on the successes and lessons learned while others underscore what remains to be done.
