Better Air Quality 2003
The Better Air Quality 2003 regional workshop was held in Manila, 17-19 December 2003 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. The event was organized by the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia), Air Pollution in the Megacities of Asia (APMA) project, and the Partnership for Clean Air (PCA).

Main Objectives
- General
- Discuss air quality management and control techniques in Asia and how stakeholders can benefit from worldwide experiences
- Technical
- Expose participants to new technological developments in air quality monitoring, and discuss recommendations on appropriate technical solutions for different countries
- Policy
- Share innovative and effective examples of air quality management, and adopt a strategic framework for air quality management and control in Asia

Participants
BAQ 2003 gave senior decision makers from all over Asia the opportunity to interact with private sector representatives, development agaencies, NGOs, and government officials from other countries. Local and international experts provided updated information about air quality issues and strategies facing the region and the rest of the world.
Over 600 participants attended BAQ 2003.
