    National Technical Strategy for Vehicle Emission Control - 1999

    In general, the People's Republic of China has adopted Euro 1 equivalent standards. Beijing, however, has adopted stricter standards (Euro 2).

    Targets for LDV, HDV, and motorcycles:

    • 2000-2001: Euro 1
    • 2004-2005: Euro 2
    • Aim to reach advanced international standards by 2010
