Innovative ideas, technology, and methodologies can improve the delivery of water services and management of water resources. But they do not always guarantee successful results on the first try.

ADB’s pilot and demonstration activities (PDAs), introduced in 2002, provide opportunities for testing and improving these ideas on a smaller scale.
