Some examples of national resettlement policies

In February 2002, A Regional Workshop on National Resettlement Policy Enhancement and Capacity Building was organized by ADB in Manila.

Reports on resettlement policies in the following countries can be downloaded:

• Cambodia
• Indonesia
• Nepal,
• Philippines
• Peoples Republic of China

An evaluation of resettlement practices in selected countries was carried out by ADB's Evaluation Department, OED. The report, 'Policy Impact of Involuntary Resettlement' includes a number of recommendations for implementation of resettlement policies and plans.
