Frankfurt 2016: Tree Planting Activity

On 30 April at 4:30pm, all participants are invited to join the Chair of the Board of Governors, Mr. Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, ADB President, Mr. Takehiko Nakao, Vice President for Third Mission of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Professor Manfred Schubert-Zsilavecz, and the Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt, Mr. Peter Feldmann, as they plant trees at the campus of the Goethe University in Frankfurt to mark the spot of a planned Green Lecture Hall and to launch the Annual Meeting activities. The Green Lecture Hall will be set up as a quiet, green space where students from all over the world can come together to exchange views and experiences. To this end, the Goethe University - in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) - will launch an annual lecture series. This green legacy underlines the theme of the Annual Meeting, 'Cooperating for Sustainability', and demonstrates how ADB and the host country are working together for a more sustainable future.
