ADBI Retains World’s Number One Government Affiliated Think Tank Ranking
Philadelphia, United States – The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) has been named the world’s “best government affiliated think tank” for a second consecutive year, according to the newly released 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report from the University of Pennsylvania Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program.
The annual ranking assessment identified ADBI, the Tokyo-based think tank of the Asian Development Bank, as the number one think tank among those “that situate in the government and are considered a part of the government body,” citing its “outstanding policy research.”
ADBI placed 24th in the worldwide think tank ranking and 6th among international development policy think tanks, holding its position in these categories as well for a second straight year. ADBI’s think tank network is also ranked 5th among all think tanks.
There are 11,175 think tanks globally, according to the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report. The report’s think tank rankings are based on inputs from over 3,974 peer institutions and experts from government, academia, public and private donors, and media.
