New E-Learning Course Spotlights Financial Authorities’ Hand in Sustainable Finance Growth

Tokyo, Japan – A new tuition-free, certificate-issuing ADBI E-learning course examines how central banks and financial supervisory authorities can address the urgent need to mitigate the macroeconomic and financial impacts of climate change and promote sustainable finance.

Led by Ulrich Volz of SOAS University of London, The Role of Central Banks and Financial Supervisory Authorities in Governing Sustainable Finance describes climate and environmental threats to macrofinancial stability, which is prompting these institutions to take action.

The course goes on to explore ways to identify climate-related risks and advance the climate and sustainable development targets of countries in Asia and the Pacific and globally. This includes a detailed look at emerging practices for climate-proofing economies and financial systems and possible paths forward.
