New Book Examines Asia’s High-Speed Rail Prospects Amid New Challenges
Tokyo, Japan – A new ADBI Press book explores the future of Asia’s high-speed-rail (HSR) development, highlighting strategies for navigating new project challenges and maximizing HSR’s potential to boost sustainable and inclusive growth in the region.
Edited by ADBI’s KE Seetha Ram, Yoshitsugu Hayashi of Chubu University, and Werner Rothengatter of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Frontiers in High-Speed Rail Development provides timely HSR planning insights and policy lessons from across Asia and globally. It also examines the effects of COVID-19 transport and logistics impacts on HSR and how projects can promote social well-being.
The book editors and contributors will discuss the book’s key takeaways during a launch webinar on 14 September from 14:45–16:15 Tokyo time, to be moderated by renowned Japanese TV personality Tomoyo Nonaka. Registration will remain open until the end of the webinar.
