New E-Learning Series Delves into E-Commerce, Cybersecurity, and Emerging Regulatory Frameworks

Tokyo, Japan – ADBI’s new e-learning series overviews the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape and related regulatory frameworks.

Given the benefits of e-commerce, which connects consumers and creates new formats to invest in, it is crucial to better understand the emerging laws, associated security risks, and basic data security tools to protect businesses and customers and make the e-commerce space thrive.

Coproduced with the Asian Development Bank for the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, this lecture series provides courses on 1) Introduction to E-Commerce, 2) Rights and Obligations in E-Commerce, and 3) Cybersecurity. These courses can be completed independently but will complement each other when taken together.

Dalma R. Demeter, a legal practitioner and law academic, leads these lectures to explore how the development of e-commerce can affect businesses and consumers, drawing on best practices to avoid cyber incidents and data breaches.

This free, certificate-issuing online course will provide valuable insights for a wide audience looking to understand more about e-commerce and how it has reshaped global business practices to become an essential part of daily life.
