Tokyo, Japan - The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) today relaunched ThinkAsia as a new global knowledge hub for sustainable development.

A free-to-use, mobile-responsive website, ThinkAsia brings together the latest research, news, and events from across the world.

Hosted by ADBI, it is open to think tanks, universities, and other organizations working in sustainable development to become community partners and share their latest research and upcoming events.

All the knowledge products on the English-language website are free to access. ThinkAsia categorizes the content by region and topic. Visitors do not have to register to access information but can sign up to curate their experience with prioritized areas of interest and receive notifications.

ADBI Dean Tetsushi Sonobe said:

“ThinkAsia brings together insights on sustainable development from across the world in one place. It amplifies events and research on sustainable development policy, allowing all organizations, think tanks, and researchers to expand the reach of their ideas.

“ThinkAsia has its roots in Asia and the Pacific, but it is global in scope. There is a wealth of knowledge in Asia and beyond that can transform lives. Ideas and discussions that originate in one country or region can be relevant or useful for others.

“As a ‘public good’ we hope ThinkAsia will be a widely used and trusted resource for policy makers, researchers, students, and others with an interest in development policy.

“I hope that people both inside and outside Asia will start to ‘ThinkAsia.’”

On 23 April, ADBI will host an online event introducing ThinkAsia and explaining how improved global knowledge sharing can support sustainable development.
