The Civil Society Panel titled “Beyond 2015: Role of International Finance Institutions in Post-MDG Development Agenda” was jointly organized with the NGO Forum on ADB. The session discussed the drive for private sector and private finance involvement in both development and climate financing and how these affect progress from the CSO perspective. Among the speakers were Annie Enriquez-Geron of Labor Independent Confederation, Robie Halip of Institutional Support, Asia Indigenous People’s Pact, and Anselmo Lee of Asia Development Alliance. Members of the audience inquired into the ADB’s inclusion of civil society not only in monitoring but also in implementation of development projects.
