2022 Annual Meeting: Seminar Sponsorships

The ADB Annual Meeting is the premier gathering of decision makers from 68 ADB members coming from Asia and the Pacific, North America and Europe. Participants meet to discuss economic, financial, and development issues relevant to the region and the rest of the world. The seminar series is one of the integral components of the Annual Meeting.

Brand exposure is maximized through the following channels

Call for Proposals

We invite proposals from international private and public institutions following these guidelines:

Prospective sponsors may submit a proposal by 7 January 2022. Proposals are non-binding and are intended for review and discussion only (maximum 4 pages). They should contain the following:

1. proposed topic and title of the seminar
2. abstract, background and objective of the seminar including how it relates to the Annual Meeting theme
3. content, and format of the seminar
4. names, positions, and affiliations of proposed speakers

Selection Criteria

Proposals are selected on the following merits:

1. topic’s relevance to the Annual Meeting theme, ADB’s Strategy 2030 vision, and to the Asia and Pacific region
2. quality and expertise of the panel of speakers (with due consideration to regional and gender diversity)
3. demonstrated capacity to deliver a strong panel with gender balance at the highest level (for example: confirmation status of speakers, among others)
4. potential audience and media draw of the seminar

Selected proposals will be advised by 24 January 2022.

Responsibilities of Sponsors

Sponsored seminars will be assigned a slot in the Annual Meeting seminar program. The sponsored seminars will be virtual.

Conditions

1. Sponsors whose proposals have been accepted must sign a sponsorship contract.
2. Sponsors will be responsible for the organization of their seminar and will coordinate directly with the panel speakers and moderator.
3. Sponsors will coordinate with the ADB IT and technical team for test runs, if any, and streaming of the event.
4. While ADB recognizes that changes to the seminar title and panel composition may be inevitable, it is expected that the topic and caliber of speakers will not differ substantially from the original proposal.
5. ADB reserves the right to decline a sponsorship if it falls short of expectations as originally discussed and agreed with the sponsor.
