This is a 3-year special fixed-term appointment. A special fixed-term appointment will automatically and without prior notice expire at the end of the original or extended term. If the successful candidate is an ADB staff member holding a regular appointment, his/her regular appointment will be converted to a special fixed-term appointment

PARD is in charge of client relationships with 15 Pacific developing member countries. PAEN is in charge of processing and implementation of projects in the energy sector including climate change.To view ADB Organizational Chart, please click here.Job PurposeThe Senior Operations Assistant provides statistical, analytical, and administrative support services for various activities relating to country programming, project processing, and administration, and office administration functions. The incumbent will report to Director, PAEN and to other designated national staff and International Staff in PAEN.Responsibilities

Provides support to project processing missions in designing project implementation arrangements, including procurement and disbursement procedures, and project management set up.

Reviews and updates eOps database for PAEN's loan and TA projects under processing, under the guidance of the international staff.

Provide support in the preparation of Technical Assistance Performance Report, Project Completion Reports, Technical Assistance Completion Reports, project administration back-to-office reports, under the guidance of the international staff and/or project officer.

Monitors incoming and outgoing documents, reports, emails for action or reassignment (in the absence of responsible international staff) and updates international staff's calendar/schedule of missions. Provide inputs to the division's budget requirements.

Assists the international staff in the recruitment of consultants, and in documentation for short-listing. Assists in the development and maintenance of the documentation, databases and computer requirements.

Provides administrative assistance to Director, PAEN and other international staff. Provides back up support to the project analysts in the latter's absence or relieves other operations assistant as necessary.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably relevant to project management and administration.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience; preferably with related experience in international agencies.
