1. INTERNSHIP TOPIC:
"A qualitative and quantitative analysis of securitization markets and structures in SE Asia."

2. SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The intern will be required to examine the securitization landscape in relevant SE Asian markets such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand etc., with a focus on SME, housing, infrastructure and municipal asset classes.I n addition to regulatory and policy issues, the intern would be required to develop a financial model to assess the advantages in developing securitization structures in select assets, subject to availability of data.

3. PERIOD OF ASSIGNMENT:
• Duration: 8 weeks (with a possibility of extension)
• Timing: June 2021

4. LOCATION: ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines (or virtually, based on COVID-19 policies/restrictions)

5. EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
A report on the state of the securitization market with a technical appendix containing a quantitative financial model as a case study of a particular asset class.

Qualifications

6. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Finance.

7. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
A strong background in financial modeling, quantitative methods and corporate finance.
