Purchasing power parities for the 17 regions of the Philippines were produced using the conceptual framework of the International Comparison Program. Outputs could be used to study regional incidence of poverty and standards of living.
Purchasing power parities estimated on an annual basis are highly demanded by researchers in various fields, ranging from poverty and comparative living standards, to competitiveness and military expenditures.
This study provides alternative ways of integrating International Comparison Program (ICP) price collection with regular price collection activities of national statistical offices for future ICP data operations.
