Ms. Chao-Yiing Lu is an operations coordination specialist in the Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations (FCAS) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) team within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD) at the Asian Development Bank. She has extensive experience in international affairs and diplomacy, having worked with the Fulbright Commission and The New York Times. Her skill set includes expertise in geopolitical analytics, strategic communications, and project management.
Her education and work have spanned three continents: North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Raised as a third-culture kid, she values her adeptness in navigating intercultural communication, bridging Eastern and Western perspectives through analytical thinking and cultural sensitivity.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in social and public affairs from the University of Taipei and attended a one-year exchange program at Illinois State University, focusing on international relations, international conflict and security, and international economy.
