ADB support to the Lao PDR continues to focus on infrastructure and private sector development, enhanced human development, sustainable natural resource management, and climate resilience.
ADB and Monsoon Wind Power Company Limited signed a $682.55 million nonrecourse project financing package to build a 600-megawatt wind power plant in Sekong and Attapeu provinces in the southern region of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

ADB has approved a $15 million technical assistance program, supported by ADB’s own funds and the Green Climate Fund, to develop projects that promote climate change adaptation and mitigation in Southeast Asia.
