Procurement Plans

For ADB-financed projects, ADB's Procurement Guidelines and Guidelines for the Use of Consultants require borrowers to prepare and publish Procurement Plans once the financing of a project has been approved. The Procurement Plan captures all major goods, works and consulting services procurement that is either ongoing or expected to take place in the following 18 months.

ADB recruits its National and Administrative Staff from interested applicants residing in the duty station country. ADB offers a competitive salary and benefits applicable to locally recruited staff.

Scholarship Program

The Asian Development Bank/Japan Scholarship Program offers about 150 postgraduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions.

Tourism-Driven Economies in the Pacific to Feel Brunt of COVID-19 Pandemic — ADB

In the FSM, GDP growth is projected to slow from 3.0% in 2019 to 1.6% in 2020. The start of new capital projects supported by development partners will now be pushed back, supporting higher growth of 3.0% in 2021.

ADB Announces $1.53 Million in Grants to Help Pacific Combat COVID-19

ADB announced $1.53 million in grants from its Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund to help finance the response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Tuvalu. FSM will receive $470,000, which will enable the country to kickstart their disaster response plans.
