ADB has temporarily put on hold sovereign project disbursements and new contracts in Myanmar effective 1 February 2021. ADB is closely monitoring the situation in Myanmar and remains committed to supporting its people.

Myanmar: Results of ADB-Supported Operations

Results achieved are aggregate amounts of contributions to 7 Operational Priorities of Strategy 2030 from operations reported in project completion reports, technical assistance completion reports, and extended annual review reports circulated for the year.

These results are also presented on the annual Development Effectiveness Review. The review covers all operations financed by ADB's ordinary capital resources and the Asian Development Fund, ADB's concessional lending window.

Finance

 2,800,000 microfinance loan accounts opened / end borrowers reached

2,800,000: The number of end borrowers; or, if not available, the number or estimate of microfinance loan accounts opened (regardless of amount in currency) over the course of the project. All those reached by microfinance lending or saving group activities of the project are counted, including participants in self-help groups. The definition of microfinance follows country conventions.
