This report provides an overview of the work of the Accountability Mechanism of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) during 2022 and how this has supported learning.

The report outlines how the Accountability Mechanism identified lessons emerging from common issues and shared recommendations to improve future project design and implementation and strengthen the accountability of ADB’s operations. It notes the importance of comprehensive baseline data, customized responses to vulnerable groups’ needs, strong engagement with stakeholders, enhanced understanding of ADB policies, regular assessments of project implementation, and timely and comprehensive remedial action plans.
