This publication presents the activities, achievements, and success stories of students and alumni from the Japan Scholarship Program in 2020.

Between 1988 and 2020, Japan contributed $191.6 million to the Japan Scholarship Program. Of the 4,039 scholarships awarded in the period, 1,566 women were among the recipients from 37 countries. So far, 3,688 scholars have completed their courses. The program gives qualified citizens from ADB developing member countries an opportunity to take postgraduate studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at 25 educational institutions in Asia and the Pacific.
