This report describes and reviews the progress of Fund operations during the period of July 2007–June 2008, in compliance with the reporting requirements stipulated in its ADB Board Paper and the ADB-GOK Channel Financing Agreement.

The e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund was established under ADB in June 2006, with a contribution of $20 million from the Government of the Republic of Korea (GOK), represented by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and by the Export–Import Bank of Korea. A total of 14 proposals were submitted to the Regional and Sustainable Development Department for consideration under the Fund between July 2007 and June 2008. Out of 12 proposals endorsed by the review committee, the Government of Korea approved 11 projects, amounting to $5.15 million in the second year of the Fund’s operation. As of the end of June 2008, ADB approved five of the 11 government-approved projects.
