The Country Partnership Strategy for 2014–2018 is aligned with ADB's midterm review of Strategy 2020 and its comparative strengths, and Azerbaijan’s own development strategy. The new strategy also complements efforts by other development partners.
The strategy will focus on the following strategic priorities and drivers of change: inclusive growth, poverty reduction, infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, job creation, social protection, education, private sector development, good governance, and capacity development. The priority sectors will be transport, energy, and water and other urban infrastructure and services.
