Women in Bangladesh remain particularly vulnerable to living in poverty. Socially prescribed roles have limited women’s access to economic resources such as capital, skills, and marketing know-how.

This report a country gender assessment prepared in conjunction with country strategies and programs for Bangladesh. The primary purpose of the assessment is to provide information on gender and development in the country to assist ADB staff in country strategy and program formulation and in project design and implementation.
