Cambodia: Water Resources Management Sector Development Program

The sector development program (SDP) aimed to address this situation through a double-pronged effort: (i) a policy-based program to strengthen countrywide water resources management, and (ii) an investment project aimed at upgrading the irrigation facilities in 15,000 hectares (ha) of irrigated paddy land. The program’s expected impact was enhanced food security. The program’s targeted outcome was improved management of water resources in Cambodia and more efficient and sustainable irrigation systems in the proposed project area.
