This paper requests approval to rename the original JFPR and focus the operating framework in line with Japan’s development priorities and the long-term corporate strategy of the Asian Development Bank.
The paper requests Board approval to (i) rename the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (original JFPR) the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR); and (ii) focus the JFPR operating framework on poverty reduction, universal health coverage, climate change and disaster risk management, quality infrastructure investment, and public finance management, to be in line with Japan’s development priorities and consistent with the long-term corporate strategy of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
