India: Integrated Renewable Energy Development

This project preparation technical assistance aimed at supporting the Government of India’s efforts to tackle challenges in developing renewable solar energy through public-private partnership (PPP) models. The increased expansion of clean energy is expected to contribute (i) to India’s strategic objectives of strengthening energy security and energy access to areas underserved by reliable grid power and (ii) to low carbon power sector development in India. This technical assistance proposed to support this through project preparatory work and advisory services for the Integrated Renewable Energy Development loan.
