Kyrgyz Republic: Country Operations Business Plan (2018–2020)

The strategic thrust of the country operations business plan (COBP,) 2018–2020 remains aligned with the priorities of the  country partnership strategy (CPS), 2013–2017, but the pipeline for 2019–2020 will be reviewed once the new CPS, 2018–2022 is endorsed.

ADB will continue to support (i) public sector management for private sector development; (ii) transport and logistics, focusing on the rehabilitation of regional corridors and maintenance of the road network; (iii) the energy sector, focusing on rehabilitating and upgrading a major hydropower plant, and institutional and technological reform to improve sector efficiency; (iv) education and training, focusing on improvement of the availability and quality of a skilled workforce, and employability of the population; and (v) water supply and sanitation, responding to the government’s request and commitment to sector reform.
