Pakistan: COVID-19 Active Response and Expenditure Support Program

The program was part of an integrated ADB package of support, with the program providing budget support to help finance countercyclical development expenditures. The program’s expected impact was mitigated adverse impacts of COVID-19 on the government’s objective of achieving sustained and inclusive growth. Its intended outcome was COVID-19 outbreak more effectively managed and its immediate social and economic damages reduced.
